Over the past years, students have been achieving top grades, exceeding the average marks and results, not only in the borough, but the whole of England. Thanks to our excellent teachers and top spec facilities, we will achieve even higher grades in the upcoming years. With regular mock examinations, parents will always be informed about their child's progress. All subject teachers are qualified and experienced but classes are closely monitored, regardless, by teaching assistants and the principle himself. Homework is set in all subjects and the School places particular importance on regular testing. Teachers ensure that a close eye is kept on the progress of each student. Parents are kept up-to-date through detailed and regular progress reports, and through the conduct of annual parents’ evenings. Attendance is fully monitored. Regular homework and testing are important elements of the courses we provide.
Cultural and artistic awareness is never neglected and students become experienced in forming and developing their own opinions over current affairs through daily discussions and debates over both key national and worldwide concerns. We take care that, whether during lessons or in assemblies, students participate in discussions and debates in which opposing views are presented in a balanced way and students are encouraged to form their own views on the basis of a wide range of accurate facts. Oak Heights is one of the top performing selective Independent Schools in the Borough of Hounslow, achieving excellent GCSE results. In the past, the school has achieved numerous awards in addition to The Good Schools Guide for best GCSE results at an English Independent School.
