Term 2 - Oak Heights School

I would like to give you all a warm welcome back. I hope you had a restful break and that all students are now motivated and ready for the new term ahead.
I am pleased to say that our end of term assembly had a very positive turnout. Well done to those of you that received certificates. Also, a very big well done to the Blue house for gaining the most points last term winning themselves a trip to the IMAX theatre which will take place in due course. It was lovely to see how many students worked really hard throughout term one; I look forward to seeing the same motivation and positivity this term. Due to its success the House Points System will continue throughout the academic year.
This term will be very busy for our year 11 students. Coursework and practical exam mocks will be taking place, and there will be plenty of exam practice for the upcoming GCSE exams. In order for our Students to gain the most out of their school study, it will no longer be compulsory for year 11s to attend sport on Tuesdays (start date tbc) and Fridays (starting from Friday 17th January). They will instead attend morning lessons in preparation for their exams. A study leave period will commence during term 3; these dates will be confirmed closer to the time.
There will be a series of great local trips throughout the next two terms for all of our students. I would like to remind parents of our year 7 theatre trip taking place on Wednesday 22nd January.
End of term exam results will be available to view on our school window within the next few days.
Further updates and term dates can be viewed on our website on www.oakheights.co.uk
