Oak Heights school latest news

Oak Heights is an independent school that has been running for 7 years. We are a secondary school with students ranging from the age of 11-16 and our classes are between 10 – 15 students each, which enables our teachers to focus on the individual needs of each student. We aim to create a high standard of teaching resulting in being one of the top performing selective Independent schools in the Borough of Hounslow with high achieving GCSE grades.
As it is the last week before half term, this week the Student Council have organised a Raffle where all the proceedings are going towards The Mulberry Centre, a cancer support charity based in Isleworth. The raffle will be announced on Friday, the last day of term, so there will be 3 lucky winners being awarded a selection of vouchers.
As it draws nearer to the Year 11 GCSE examinations, The students are continuing with their practical examinations for the ISA’s for Chemistry and Biology. In addition, the controlled assessments for History and English are continuing and preparations towards the GCSE’s are in full flow. Revision lessons and practice exam papers and re-cap lessons are all preparing the students for their exams.

A selection of games such as football and badminton and group activities are organised for the students to interact in. We are looking to introduce athletics in the next term to build on the students strength, stamina and upkeep their physical fitness. As part of our on going fundraising projects the Student Council will be organizing sport tournaments to raise money for charities.

Oak Heights School – GCSE Results and performance tables 2014 and the Exam Centre

It is my pleasure to write this congratulatory letter to all of our year 11 students for their outstanding Maths GCSE results. Results release day is often very nerve wracking as I am sure you are well aware, however, the results achieved today have clearly reflected the hard work of our students coupled with the support of yourselves and our outstanding maths teacher Mr Louis.

Including our 4 year 11 students who that sat their Maths GCSE exams early last summer, we have now set a very high standard within our school, with 5 A*'s , 8 A's and 1 B&C grade in maths GCSE.

We would also like to announce that our GCSE results for 2014 have been outstanding. Achieving 89%, minimum of 5 GCES (A* – C including Maths and English Language) and with its most recent ‘ Good’ OFSTED report the school is progressing well.
