Oak Heights School completing another year, coming up to 12 years anniversary!

Schools in Hounslow

We are heading towards the end of the third term here at Oak Heights Independent School in Hounslow, with two weeks to go until we break up for summer. We are pleased to say it has been another successful year in giving your children what they need to achieve high grades at GCSE. We are confident to say that they have passed their GCSE examinations and are expecting good results from all of our students. We are also expecting them to move onto good sixth forms and colleges including grammar schools and top local institutions in the borough. So our students can complete their A-levels, attending classes which deliver the course at a high, standard which is maintained throughout the next two years.
Since the start of the academic year in Oak Heights school Hounslow, students are advised how they should be studying in their free time and given the necessary materials needed to pass the course including mock examinations and past papers. We systematically look at each student individually, keeping a track record of their mock exam grades in order to let them know where they can improve. This record is shown to parents during parents evening or can be accessed upon demand. At Oak Heights in Hounslow, we believe parents have every right to know the progress of their child, for this reason we advise parents to keep in touch with us for the sake of their child’s progress.
In all other years, we have seen better disciplined classes than ever before; students are constantly reminded that we do not tolerate any misbehaviour and are told to refer to the school rules. Breaking the rules leads to serious consequences. If behaviour does not improve within a term, we would have no choice but to exclude your child from the school. We try to avoid this by monitoring behaviour and addressing it as soon as possible. Assembly takes place twice a week, where the principal, announces any news or changes within the school, as well as discipline and behaviour. Students are always reminded to be punctual. This comes under discipline and time management which is a vital tool needed for the rest of their successful career. At Oak heights in Hounslow we teach your children how to be more organised and the importance of organisation. A better organised student would be more likely to achieve better grades, so we prepare them from their early years with us.

On the third of July we will be going on our annual trip to Thorpe Park as a day out for every student on a first come first serve basis, so please sign the slips and hand them into reception by June 26th. This is the second consecutive trip to the theme park as it was successful last year. This would be a good time for our students to take a break from the classroom and be active.
We look forward to hearing from you and wish you all the best.

The Exam Centre in London

Oak Heights Exam centre in London is a private institute for any exams as a Private Candidate; you are advised to look at the relevant specification/syllabus and other related information (exam timetables etc). The centre is located in the heart of Hounslow near the new High street Quarter.
Once you have completed the exam registration form with details of the exams you want to sit, Oak Heights exam centre in London will register you for those units with the exam board. They then send us a Statement of Entry showing which exams you are registered for. We then post you the Statement of Entry together with a cover-letter which informs you where to go for the exam and at what time.
At Oak Heights in London it is compulsory on the day of the exams, you come to the exam hall with your Statement of Entry and photo ID (Passport/Driving Licence) together with anything you will need for the exam (e.g. calculator for maths exams). We print Statements of Results and post them to you that day, so that they should arrive in the post on the day they are officially released to you.
If you are completing a qualification in a particular exam session, you must request that the exam board process that subject to add all your unit scores together and issue you with an overall grade for the subject. Some students assume this happens automatically, or that we will know when they are completing the qualification but this is not the case – please ensure that you clearly fill out the section of the form regarding certification. You should also check that you have requested feature on the Statement of Entry when you receive it. Grades are what Universities are informed of through UCAS
The UCI number contains 13 characters in total ~12 digits and a letter on the end; it is used to coordinate all of your individual exam marks together so that when you request an overall grade, the exam board can locate all of your previous exam results. If you do not provide your UCI number, or supply an incorrect one, there is a real risk that you won’t get an overall grade once you have completed the qualification.
The UCI number is issued whenever you sit an exam, so if you’ve done exams before in the UK you will have been issued a UCI number. The best place to find this number is on your previous Statement of Results or Statement of Entry. If you bring in a copy of the Statement when you register, that’s the best way to ensure we register you under the correct UCI.
